Dear Mr. Rick Morrison and Mr. Philip L. Thalheimer,
I’d like to take this opportunity to wish you a happy new year! I know that 2012 will be a better year for all of us! Personally last year was a great year for me. I was able to transition to the airline industry. I feel really thankful with SDFTI since I started my aviation career with you guys and I was able to work as a flight instructor which gave me the opportunity of developing my flight experience and growing up as a pilot and that is definitely something that I will always be thankful about.
I’m currently based in LAX after been all over the country! However I don’t regret it since I was able to fly in places that I never imagine and experience weather conditions different from what we usually have in the state of California. I was initially based in MIA then moved to DFW. However in the month of November I volunteer to transfer for a month to JFK which it was a great experience. Then went back to DFW for one last month and then moved to LA.
Airline industry is way too different from what I used to do. Everything seems to be quite faster but really enjoyable. I attached a picture of me taken inside the cockpit of an Embraer 145 which is the aircraft that I fly. I hope you can use this to motivate and encourage other students that have the same goal as I did!
Once again thanks for all the support and encouragement and for being part of my career development.
Edmund G. Jr.
